1. The environmental legislation
Legislation remains central to meeting environmental challenges and full and proper implementation of existing legislation is a priority. For this reason, we propose two ambitious goals:
- the drafting of an Act of the Environment;
- the preparation, integration and coordination of the various planning tools and programs on the environment.
2. Change climatico
E’ necessario integrare gli obiettivi del cambiamento climatico nelle varie politiche regionali e segnatamente nella politica energetica e in quella dei trasporti. La sistematica attuazione del piano energetico regionale dovrà portare la nostra regione al pieno rispetto dei parametri e delle scadenze previste nell’accordo di Kyoto.
Obiettivo prioritario è la riduzione delle emissioni dei gas a effetto serra, obiettivo che intendiamo perseguire con l’implementazione delle misure specifiche che seguono:
- interventi per migliorare l'efficienza energetica;
- sfruttamento delle fonti energetiche rinnovabili;
- promozione di accordi con l'industria;
- programmi di risparmio energetico.

To achieve that objective should be put in place a series of actions, such as:
- action to promote energy saving in buildings (energy certification of support for themselves, and adjustment of public buildings);

- incentive measures to support a use of public transport, particularly by workers and students commute;
- Incentive measures to promote the transition from road to rail transport of goods;
- action to promote the use of best available technology for installations permitted to emit greenhouse gases.
4. Renewables
The big challenge with determination, however, is that of renewable sources, with the aim of ensuring in the medium term in the first FVG lowest possible environmental impact, but also secure the same level of supply in the best economic advantage.
After approval by the Regional Energy Plan and new measures of the Rural Development Programme and the Competitiveness and Employment Objective will necessario dare un significativo impulso alla crescita di un sistema di produzione e consumo energetico da fonti rinnovabili sia naturali (sole, vento, geotermia, acqua) che primarie (legno, oleaginose, biogas, zuccherine, ecc.) le cui potenzialità appaiono enormi in termini di energia producibile e di sviluppo tecnologico, di innovazione e occupazionale per il sistema produttivo regionale.
Si tratta di orientare le scelte verso un sistema di producibilità energetica fortemente collegato al territorio, alle sue produzioni, all’integrazione di filiera, in grado di mantenere il valore aggiunto nelle mani dei produttori. Vanno create nuove professionalità legate all’energia quale settore strategico su cui costruire autonomia, well-being, environmental quality.

- la valorizzazione delle risorse geotermiche dando priorità alle aree in cui esse sono state individuate dal recente studio e dalla relativa carta messa a punto dai competenti servizi dell’amministrazione regionale.
