Good evening everyone! I apologize for the few updates the last week due to the overlapping of various commitments and irrevocable.
On the Mediterranean, after a long hibernation to weather conditions have returned to visit the disruption with a capital P. It began in recent days with a first trough from the west, which brought a lot of snow in the Apennines at altitudes medium-high, but also in the Alps and some lowland areas in the far northwest. In addition to rain and snow, he returned to visit us, the wind, which has finally alleviated the unbearable levels di inquinamento atmosferico sulle grandi città del settentrione, ed ha anche tolto un po' di ruggine alle braccia di molti surfisti.
Tornando al presente, l'elemento meteorologico che attira l'attenzione today is that full-fledged cyclone Mediterranean who managed to widen up to 995 hPa the Ionian Sea.
This top position of potential energy, kinetic energy is dissipating pouring exceptionally powerful (in the form of wind) on the seas off the coast of Sicily and Calabria. Powerful storms are hitting the coast of Calabria and Puglia, but what makes the most impression is the swell that hit Greece last night!
The two leading marine-weather models, that is Kassandra and Lamma, are compared here, just to show the full scale of storm surge caused by the exceptional power of the next few hours.
Sabato 19: Giornata in prevalenza soleggiata.
Temperature massime in calo.
Cieli ancora nuvolosi altrove con precipitazioni sparse, nevose sull'Appennino centrale intorno a 1000 metri, su quello meridionale fin verso i 1300 metri, in Calabria e Sicilia oltre i 1500 metri. Maestrale in Sardegna.
